Building Permit Application

Fee calculation Information: After you have completed the Building Permit Application, please contact the Windom Building & Zoning Office at 507-831-6125 for information concerning the fee to be submitted with the application. Please mail or deliver the fee to the Windom Building & Zoning Office.

Note: All building permit applications require payment of the City's building permit fee and the state surcharge. However, some permits may require an additional plan review fee. Water and sewer connection fees may also be required for new construction.

NOTE: Conditional Uses and Variances require additional applications and fees. Please fill out the Application for Consideration of Zoning/Subdivison Request for those types of applications.

Notice: A separate permit is required for sewer and water hook-ups. (If applicable, connection fees are included on this application) This permit becomes null and void if work or construction authorized is NOT commenced within 180 days or if construction or work is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days at any time after work is commenced. The granting of a permit DOES NOT presume to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of any other state or local law regulating construction or the performance of construction.
