The City does have a part-time Animal Control Officer who will set live traps for unwanted animals.

Dogs & Cats:

City Ordinance allows for three (3) dogs and/or three (3) cats.

Dogs and cats must be licensed and are prohibited from running at large. Dogs and cats over four months of age must be licensed. Licenses are valid for a one-year period and are available at the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall.

Dogs and cats must have rabies vaccinations and they must wear the vaccination tags.

Animals that habitually bark or cry are prohibited.

Pets should remain in their own yards if not on a leash.

As responsible pet owners, residents should clean up after their pets.
